Warranty Conditions
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Cricket Bat Warranty
A Cricket bat warranty is a goodwill gesture offered to repair or replace a bat that has suffered damage believed not to be the fault of the Customer.
Bats will deteriorate even without use due to natural drying out in the willow. Warranty claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis and the course of action depends on the circumstances. A course of action may include repair, replacement or having the service performed again.
Spartan offers a 12 month Warranty on Spartan Senior English Willow Bats, Junior English Willow Bats & Kashmir Willow cricket bats. Replacement bats will have a maximum of 6 months warranty (from the time of replacement) except where the original bat is less than six months old.
A Bat will not be replaced due to handle break, edge or surface cracking but may be repaired under Warranty in the first season of use only.
Warranty claims on Bats over 12 months old, from date of purchase, will be considered entirely at the manufacturers discretion. There is no definite time that a Cricket Bat will last. The bat will deteriorate with use on the field and against bowling machine balls. It is recommended that you do not use a new SPARTAN bat against a bowling machine. Care for and maintain your bat to extend its life.

Principal Causes of Damage
There is definitely no warranty on products with:
Bats must also be either extra-tecd or oiled correctly for a valid warranty. Labels/stickers are also to be kept on your bat or warranty may be voided. Bats with broken handles, cracks and other minor problems that occur within the time of our warranty will be sent to our bat maker for repair.
PROCESS OF REPAIR: It takes an average of 14 working days to assess and/or repair the problem.
When claiming a warranty, proof of purchase needs to be provided to by the customer. Proof of purchase is either a receipt (which is provided by the retailer with every purchase) or a valid bank statement.
Please remember:
Cricket bats are made from a natural material that has the incredibly hard task of hitting a solid object repeatedly. A small amount of cracking is normal and has no impact on the performance of the bat. Small cracks can usually be sanded out and have been appearing on cricket bats for centuries. Cracking is not a sign of a faulty bat, but an indication your bat requires further knocking in.
A cricket bat is NOT going to look new forever and cracks will appear on the willow.
The lifespan of a bat depends on how much it is used and how well it is taken care of. You should keep your bat out of excessively warm conditions and wet weather. A toe guard/shoe goo should be fitted for extra protection against toe damage.
Refund or Replacement
Refund or replacement may only take place once an item is declared 'lost in transit'. In accordance with our courier's guidelines, items will be only be declared as 'lost in transit' if the item cannot be located 25 working days after dispatch.
If products are damaged from transit, we apologize for this and will require you to email through to our Customer Service team with your order number, full name, address and photographs of the damage. Our Customer Service team will assess and assist with repairs/parts replacement, and if the damages are not easily fixable, a replacement will be considered.
Front Entrance Delivery
Deliveries are strictly door–to–door services, the courier will deliver to your front door location or to an accessible ground–floor entrance. Couriers are not obligated to enter any premises or homes and will enter at their discretion.
Non Ground Floor Deliveries and Steps
Due to Australian Occupational Health and Safety regulations deliveries above or below ground floor are at the carrier's discretion and are not guaranteed. This includes (but not limited to) steps that are immediately outside the premises, which are required to climb in order to gain access to the property.
No–one Home
If when the carrier arrives with your goods after pre–arrangement without an Authority to Leave Unattended and there is no–one present to receive them, they will be returned to the carrier's depot, or to the supplier. In this case you will be liable for charges for re–delivery. If the order is subsequently cancelled, you will be liable for all carriage charges and a 15% restocking fee also.
You are responsible for counting the amount of cartons you receive and ensuring that this amount matches the amount on the carrier's delivery note. If this amount does not exactly match what you have received, you must note the number of cartons on the carrier's delivery note.
Damage to packaging must be stated on the delivery note next to your signature. You must cross out "delivered in good condition" from the carrier's delivery note (if applicable). If the item has been damaged we will require you to email us at [email protected], with a description of the damage and photos attached so we can organize a remedy for the damage.
Short deliveries and damage to packaging must be reported to LMS Shop within 2 working days of signing. Neither LMS Shop nor the delivering carrier can be held responsible for short deliveries, damages to packaging and/or items if you do not note them on your delivery note. This does not affect your statutory rights in the event of the goods being faulty.
If, for any reason, we cannot immediately supply you with a product you have ordered, we will let you know over phone or email and provide you with options to amend, exchange, or cancel & refund.

In the unlikely event that the goods are not of a satisfactory quality, are damaged or defective, or you wish to return goods for any reason within the terms of this contract, you need to follow the Returns Policy. Our standard Returns Policy applies to all purchases from the Spartan Sports Marketplace, all claims must be made within 14 days of purchase or within a reasonable time of awareness of defect and must be accompanied by proof of purchase. Please therefore retain the proof of purchase emailed to you from the LMS Shop as this is your proof of purchase to raise any claims. LMS Shop may reject claims which are not made within a reasonable time and/or where there is no proof of purchase. Please contact our LMS Shop should you notice any issues or defects with your product. Our team will deal with each case based on its merits and depending on the circumstances will either offer to refund or exchange a product provided if it is in a fully reāsaleable condition.
Spartan Cricket Bat Refund/Exchange Policy and Process
If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your Spartan Cricket Bat purchase from LMS Shop, we will assist you with an exchange or refund.
Items must be returned within 14 days of original dispatch date in a resalable condition (unwashed, unworn with the packaging & tags still attached). Please allow 14 days from the day you return your product for your account to be credited or your exchange product to be despatched.
